How to Acquire Turkish Citizenship
Turkish citizenship by real estate investment allows foreign investors and their families to apply for citizenship by purchasing property that meets the required financial and legal conditions. The process includes property valuation, bank transfer documentation, title deed procedures, residence permit application, and citizenship appointments.
Citizenship by Real Estate Investment
To apply for Turkish citizenship through real estate investment, the valuation report, bank receipts, and title deed amount must together equal or exceed USD 400,000 or its equivalent in Turkish Lira.
Applicants may own more than one property in order to meet the financial requirement. Payments must be made directly from the buyer’s bank account to the seller’s bank account, and the exchange rate calculation should be handled by an attorney.
After the property acquisition, an annotation is placed on the title deed stating that the property cannot be sold for three years. Selling the property without permission from the Ministry may lead to cancellation of the citizenship application.
